Perspectives On Recovery And Resolution Planning In Asia Pacific

A key aspect of the global regulatory response has been development of an entirely new approach to Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP).

This approach is designed to address the specific issues seen with bank failure, and we see this as key to systemic resilience. 

RRP legislation in major Asia Pacific countries are summarized and we foresee several local challenges in implementation. Suggestions on implementing RRP in less developed markets and managing state-owned banks are provided for regulators to consider.
