With the help of our advisory board, we have selected the most challenging “how to” issues facing healthcare companies and institutions and have designed a series of interactive workshops to address them. Each session will bring together senior leaders from across healthcare and adjacent markets to debate and design go-forward strategies and business models for the specific topics listed below. The sessions build on OWHIC’s 2012 initiative to develop a healthcare Roadmap to 2025. That effort, conducted with extensive collaboration between our advisory board and Oliver Wyman, produced a three-wave framework for the evolution of healthcare. We also laid out a technology roadmap for how the health market will change between now and 2025, how economic forces on the supply and demand side will affect stakeholders, and what new business designs will carry the day. We publicly announced our belief that the volume-to-value revolution could eliminate $7 trillion in healthcare costs over a decade and shift $1 trillion in value from incumbents to new players, while reducing healthcare costs by 20 percent, cutting medical trend by 5.5 percent, and improving consumer value by 25 percent.
