This summer, we invited you to join us at Farnborough for one of the world's largest exhibitions in aerospace and defense. 

Farnborough International Airshow, which this year took place between July 22—26, stands as a global leader in pioneering change. It hosts leading innovators from the aerospace, aviation and defence industries, and beyond. 

This year’s show spotlighted five important key themes, which were woven throughout various speaker and panel discussions: sustainability, space, defense, innovation, future flight and workforce.

Securing the Future: Navigating Aerospace and Defense Supply Chain Turbulence with Strategic Sourcing and OEM Leadership

Located in the Aerospace Industries Association Stand, this panel session saw experts explore the challenges of aerospace and defense (A&D) supply chain. Specifically, it addressed issues created by Boeing and the ripple effects of the Ukraine conflict. The concepts of strategic sourcing and potential restructuring support by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are critical.

Representatives from Oliver Wyman joined the panel discussion on how OEMs are re-evaluating their sourcing strategies to reduce dependency on single points of failure to ensure a more resilient supply chain.
