Oliver Wyman in the News

If companies do not embark rapidly on substantive change, they risk not only contributing to a climate disaster but also missing out on a new, green, front line for competition
Nick Studer, CEO
Putting metrics and evidence around gender projects will help us get there in the long-term, but we have a long way to go before this becomes a widely accepted standard in the mainstream
Rupal Kantaria, Partner
When it comes to cutting greenhouse gas emissions, commercial aviation faces one of the toughest challenges of any industry. To cut emissions, even a little, will take commercially scalable new technology and new fuels, and right now neither is within immediate reach
Robbie Bourke, Vice President
David Kaplan, Engagement Manager
The world is still well off-track to meet the Paris agreement goals. We are nowhere near to limiting temperature rises to 1.5C. And to do that, annual global emissions need to be halved this decade and instead they are projected to rise by 16%
Simon Cooper, Partner
We have seen a huge shift in the last couple of years in business. There is a huge amount of impressive activity that companies are managing to do, and finding ways to do, within the constraints they’ve got
Simon Glynn, Partner and Co-lead, Climate and Sustainability
While the pledge to halt finance for fossil fuels overseas demonstrates commitment to accelerate green energy, it could unintentionally suppress growth for developing economies
David Knipe, Partner
We’re playing against time. If achieving cleaner natural gas provides extra time for innovation and extends gas’ role in the energy transition, then getting rid of flaring, venting and leakage now is really a very small price to pay
David Knipe, Partner
We see the masculine blindspots with all-male panels, or, for example, where a woman is added at the end when someone notices that somehow not a single woman has made onto the panel
Rupal Kantaria, Partner
