Overview
Qatar’s National Vision 2030 frames an ambitious shift to a digital-first economy centered on people, sustainability and innovation. The Mobile World Congress (MWC) Doha 2026 will convene the GSMA’s global ecosystem in Doha, building on M360 MENA’s showcase to spotlight 5G expansion, AI-powered data centers, smart cities and green technology investment.
The conference will focus on three core themes: AI in action, exploring how embedded intelligence is transforming industries, work and business models; intelligent economies, examining how nations can harness technology to create more competitive, inclusive and sustainable economies; and connected infrastructure, focused on the next-generation networks and infrastructure needed to deliver greater performance, resilience, security and sustainability at scale.
A defining feature of the 2026 edition will be its first-ever co-location with ITU PP-26, the UN’s highest-level policy-making conference for digital technologies. This will bring global technology leaders, telecom operators, policymakers and government officials together under one roof as major digital and telecom policy priorities are shaped through 2030.

Agentic AI summit enabling national transformation — Fireside chat
Agentic AI is creating new opportunities for governments to move beyond digitizing individual services toward transforming how entire public-sector systems operate. But delivering this change at a national scale requires more than technology. It calls for coordinated strategies, trusted governance, and collaboration across government, industry, and the wider AI ecosystem.
In this fireside chat, Oliver Wyman's Jad Haddad joins Eman Ahmed Al-Kuwari from Qatar's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to explore what holistic national AI transformation looks like in practice, drawing on Qatar's experience.
The discussion will examine how governments can move from isolated AI pilots to coordinated national programs, build public trust as AI agents take on greater autonomy, and balance national AI sovereignty with strategic partnerships. It will also explore the role of workforce skills, accountability, and human oversight in ensuring AI delivers meaningful outcomes for citizens and economies.
Speakers: Jad Haddad, partner, Global Head of Quotient — AI By Oliver Wyman; and Eman Ahmed Al-Kuwari, director of Digital Innovation, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Qatar
