Traveler Sentiment Survey: Anticipating the Travel Recovery

Date: December 1 | 5.00 pm (CET) 11.00 am (EST)

Overview

On December 1, Oliver Wyman’s transportation and travel experts shared findings and insights from the second edition of the survey.

Moderated by Olivier Fainsilber and Anne Pruvot, the webinar discussed the evolution of traveler perspectives during COVID-19 and explored emerging long-term implications and short-term opportunities, including:

Health and safety measures: What do travelers expect and value? For those who have traveled during the pandemic, what was their reaction? What can airlines and railways do to make travelers feel more at ease? Which travel activities are most/least appealing to travelers?

Teleconferencing impact on business travel: How are long-term business travel attitudes evolving and what is driving changes? Where has teleconferencing and remote working proven effective? Where has it worked less well?

Pent-up leisure demand: How much has the outlook for leisure demand increased? What types of trips do travelers expect to take when restrictions are lifted? Where do they expect to go and why? What are the top travel mode and lodging purchase decision factors?

This webinar included a global Q&A session for participants to engage with the speakers, followed by country-specific findings and Q&A for the final 20 minutes.
