Oliver Wyman Launches New Program To Attract Emirati Talent Into The Private Sector

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting with offices in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has launched its Abu Dhabi Consultant Development Program (CDP) to help identify and attract Emirati talent into the private sector.

The CDP is designed to prepare recent UAE national graduates for a career in consulting, giving them the opportunity to work with Oliver Wyman’s leading project teams. Graduates will receive exposure to core consulting skills through formal and on-the-job training, whilst also being given the chance to collaborate with clients to address business challenges.

The announcement of Oliver Wyman’s CDP follows a commitment by the UAE government to boost the number of Emiratis in private sector jobs.

“Our aim is to help stimulate increased interest in the number of Emiratis who want to enter the private sector,” said Adel AlFalasi, Head of Oliver Wyman Abu Dhabi office.

The selected candidates, who will be part of Oliver Wyman’s supportive Abu Dhabi office environment, will be given the opportunity to learn new skills over a year-long program if they advance following a six-month review.

Recently joining the Oliver Wyman CDP was Khalid Alkaabi, a finance and business administration graduate from the University of San Diego. Khalid was seeking an opportunity in order to learn and grow, and believes consulting is one of the most challenging and rewarding careers to work in.

Describing his experience with the Oliver Wyman CDP, Alkaabi said: “My experience with the CDP has been remarkable. I am being challenged and witnessing rapid development, which I could not have hoped for elsewhere. Every day I am learning new skills, and discovering unknowns. In parallel, I am also pursuing and discovering new areas of personal interest which I am really enjoying.”

Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive a certificate at an official ceremony and top performers will get an official offer to join Oliver Wyman as a Consultant.
