New York, January 25, 2022 – Oliver Wyman, the international management consultancy, today announced Ian Mitchell and Ben Wallach have joined its expanding Anti-Financial Crime practice as Senior Advisors.

Ian Mitchell is a Co-Founder of Omega FinCrime and Founder of The Knoble, a network of fraud, cyber, fintech and financial crime professionals dedicated to fighting human trafficking. Most recently, Ian served as a Principal leading PwC’s Financial Crimes Unit Fraud Management Practice. Ian is a founding member of the American Bankers Association (ABA) Financial Crimes Advisory Board which established and authored the ABA Financial Crimes Certification (CAFP). He was also the Director of Enterprise Fraud Management at Fifth Third Bank, the Global Fraud Leader at Ally Bank, and held senior fraud roles at USAA and GE Capital. Ian has a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington.

Ben Wallach is a Co-Founder of Omega FinCrime. Ben is a financial services industry veteran with over two decades of tactical expertise in digital threats faced by the global financial services industry and has been responsible for strategic leadership of company-wide transformational initiatives in the fraud, security & identity space. Most recently, Ben served as EVP & Chief Fraud Director leading BB&T’s enterprise fraud program. Prior to that, Ben was the Head of Fraud at PNC, North America Fraud Prevention Lead at Citi and held senior fraud roles at Wells Fargo and Regions. Ben has a BSBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and an MBA from Auburn University at Montgomery.
