Austin Hong Joins Oliver Wyman’s Anti-Financial Crime And Compliance Practices

New York, February 15, 2022 – Global management consultancy, Oliver Wyman, has announced Austin Hong will join the firm as a Partner in its expanding Anti-Financial Crime and Compliance practices.

Austin formerly served as AML Managing Vice President and Head of the Financial Intelligence Unit at Capital One, where he oversaw the largest team in the bank’s Risk organization. He led the development of several critical technology initiatives that brought innovation to the AML program resulting in better risk coverage and improved effectiveness & efficiency. Prior to Capital One and Oliver Wyman, Austin was a Managing Director at BlackRock and a Senior Director at the Promontory Financial Group (an IBM Company). Austin received his MBA from Columbia Business School, an MS in Statistics from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
