About the event
We are inviting you to attend a consulting case study and CV workshop with opportunity to network with the Oliver Wyman team on the 15th & 16th October, led by 2-3 University of Edinburgh alumni from Oliver Wyman, a global leader in Strategy Consulting. Spaces at the events are limited to 20 people each, so we encourage you to apply early as we were oversubscribed last year

The case study workshop will be an introduction to Oliver Wyman, strategy consulting, a deep dive into a live consulting case and Q&A with experienced consultants. Cases are a fundamental part of the interview process for any consulting job, so get practice and feedback from senior consultants at the workshop and learn how to crack a case! Similarly the CV workshop will be an opportunity to discuss what OW looks for in CVs and how you can best highlight your consulting relevant skills, achievements and experience. In between these two workshops, we will have a networking lunch and drinks, which will be a chance for workshop attendees to ask any questions they have to the consultants about life in consulting in a relaxed atmosphere. Please note, we will run two similar workshops with each day structured as follows:
- 09:00 - 12:00: Case study workshop
- 12:00 - 14:00: Lunch & networking
- 14:00 - 16:00: CV workshop
- 16:00 - 16:30: General Q&A and closing
Note: Please note this event will be focused mainly on graduate entry-level roles hence we will be only considering applications from students in their final year. We will be hosting another event in the near future focused on summer internship opportunities
Last year, we went on to mentor a number of attendees following the event. 4 out of 24 attendees were invited for final round interviews with 3 achieved offers from Oliver Wyman for full-time graduate consulting positions. Given the success of last year’s candidates, we have doubled the number of events we are hosting hoping that we can reach even more interested students.
Oliver Wyman’s strength lies in the diversity of its teams. Regardless of your area of study or background, we want you to apply! We are looking for penultimate, or final year students from all academic backgrounds. Most importantly, we are searching for candidates who create and own their impact.
