Overview
Ontario is undergoing tremendous changes to improve service delivery, with the province creating a new super agency (Ontario Health) and integrated care models (Ontario Health Teams) to deliver improved and integrated care for its nearly 14 million residents. This Ontario healthcare reform is not without challenges and requires collaboration within and outside the existing health ecosystem, and adoption of new and proven innovations.
In partnership with the Sinai Health System and Shoppers Drug Mart, Oliver Wyman is facilitating a roundtable discussion with 20 business leaders from across the ecosystem to discuss the roles that organizations can play in enabling a new care model for the province. By bringing together representatives from the government, hospital systems, community and other providers, healthcare innovators, insurance firms, retail and services companies, academia, and the investment industry, we aim to identify ways the industry can help the government achieve its quadruple aim of higher quality care at a lower cost while improving experience for patients and providers.

Speakers
Farzad Mostashari, MD, SCM is the CEO of Aledade, a start-up he co-founded aimed at helping primary care doctors transform their practices and form accountable care organizations (ACOs). Prior to Aledade, he was a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC, where he focused on payment reform and delivery system transformation. He served from 2011-2013 as the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology where he coordinated US efforts to build a health information technology infrastructure for healthcare reform and consumer empowerment, in addition to programs for health information exchange, health IT workforce, research, and privacy and security.
Shawn Morris is a seasoned industry leader focused on building a national organization, delivering operational excellence and transforming the healthcare delivery experience. As Privia Health’s CEO, Shawn drives initiatives to meet providers where they are on the transition to value while building strategic partnerships with physicians, health plans, health systems, and employers to better align reimbursements to quality and affordability. Shawn was previously the President and Chief Operating Officer of Cigna-HealthSpring, a Cigna company. He was responsible for the financial and operational performance of Cigna’s Medicare Advantage business, one of the largest companies providing private Medicare solutions, that served 1.5 million Medicare customers and generated $8 billion in revenue. Shawn earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Kentucky University and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner.

The caregiver represents the family member or non-paid resources that many patients in the healthcare system depend on day-to-day.
