Infrastructure is a critical driver of global economic growth, competitiveness and social well-being. However, severe under-funding persists across many asset classes around the world despite the availability of capital. The energy sector in particular is experiencing dynamic changes as a result of technology developments, regulatory forces, and evolving government policies that impact current and future investment.
Oliver Wyman, a study partner of the World Economic Forum and the World Energy Council, will discuss how the private sector and policy makers can do much to address the investment gap and the current dynamic forces that are impacting the energy sector.

12:00 pm Oliver Wyman Financial Services Lunch
Presented by Oliver Wyman President and CEO Scott McDonald, and Nick Studer, Managing Partner, Financial Services, the 18th annual State of the Financial Services Industry report examines the complexity drivers of greatest concern for these financial institutions: regulation, multi-channel customer interaction, fragmented systems, product proliferation and geographic expansion.
In addition to driving up operational costs, the study notes these complexity sources cause opacity which undermines decision-making and dilutes the influence that managers can exert over the various parts of their firms.
How should businesses respond to systemic and emerging threats to their strategy and operations?
Dimensions to be addressed: Cyber crime, geopolitical instability, economic sanctions. This interactive session is designed as a learning experience uniquely for chief executives.
