The children's aid organization Children for a better World e.V. was founded in 1994 under the guiding principle "With children. For children!". In addition to the social commitment of children and young people, the focus is on mitigating the severe consequences of child poverty in Germany. An important aspect of all funding decisions is the participation of children and young people in their own as well as planned projects. Since the founding of CHILDREN, successful entrepreneurs and committed companies have supported work against child poverty. Their support in particular makes it possible to expand, increase the quality and maintain sustainability of important aid projects. To increase the revenue from donations and thus reach even more children, CHILDREN wants to build further long-term and strategic business cooperations.
Scope
Over a period of six weeks, Oliver Wyman assisted the management of CHILDREN in the strategy and implementation planning to expand business cooperations. In the first step, the vision and value proposition for cooperation partners as well as possible cooperation models were developed. Through interviews and workshops with experts from fundraising and the program area, a kit was developed with which the cooperation can be individually tailored to a company. To address the companies, the project team of Oliver Wyman also developed a prioritized list of relevant cooperation partners and a complete pitch presentation. Finally, the first companies were approached regarding a possible cooperation.

Impact
The development of a clear strategy for business cooperation strengthens the negotiating position of CHILDREN and increases the effectiveness of addressing the companies. The construction kit provided for the pitch presentations increases the probability of success for the cooperations while optimizing the use of resources. First contacts to potential cooperation partners by Oliver Wyman and the involvement of the CHILDREN board in the search for contacts support the children's aid organization in achieving their ambitious goals. The additional planned business cooperations will more than double the corresponding funding revenues until 2022, thus enabling the funding of partner institutions in all 80 major cities in Germany.
