In recognition of his continuous commitment to fostering racial and ethnic diversity and inclusion in the workplace, Oliver Wyman Partner Rama Gollakota has been included in the Empower 100 Executives Role Model List for the second consecutive year.
The list shines a spotlight on individuals working to ensure people of color within global organizations can thrive. As a partner and council member of Oliver Wyman's Asia Pacific Regional Belonging Council, Rama believes in the power of diverse representation — especially in leadership roles — and strives to ensure the firm's workforce reflects the diversity of the communities in which it operates and impacts.
As the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Champion, he leads the RAP Committee to ensure the implementation of Oliver Wyman's RAP Commitment. Rama also serves as the sponsor for EMPOWERED Colleague Resource Group, enabling racial and ethnic diversity and promoting collaborative and safe workplace environment.
Rama's contributions extend beyond the workplace, including leading social impact projects like Happy Boxes to uplift indigenous communities. He mentors junior consultants from ethnic minorities and actively participates in initiatives to create indigenous scholarships. Rama's commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident in his strategic leadership and advocacy efforts within and outside Oliver Wyman.
This recognition is of great importance to me, as it not only highlights the critical role of racial and ethnic diversity and inclusion in the workplace and beyond, but also validates our collective efforts in championing allyship and belonging. With this platform, I am committed to amplifying voices, breaking down barriers, and fostering inclusive workplaces and communities where everyone can thriveRama Gollakota, Partner, Oliver Wyman
