The Washington Post's Article On Challenges In Biden's EV Plan

The Biden administration is planning to require automakers to switch to predominantly producing electric vehicles. If put into action, this plan could be a force in combating global warming. But, there are some obstacles in the way of a smooth transition into the climate-friendly future of the automotive industry. 

States like California are already a few steps ahead, by banning the sale of gas-powered vehicles beginning in 2035. 

Principal in Oliver Wyman's Energy and Natural Resources Practice, Todd Bowie, applauds California for taking action against climate change, but notes of the bumps in the road on the realities of implementing the plan nationally, “There are great lessons to be learned from California.” He added that setting targets and standards is vital but “actually implementing them and making them real is another animal.”
