Mike Baker Joins Oliver Wyman As Senior Advisor To Support Its Public Sector Practice

October 20, London – Oliver Wyman, the global management consultancy, announced today the appointment of Mike Baker as Senior Advisor. Mike joins as part of the Public Sector practice, which advises leaders across all levels of the public sector on developing innovative solutions to complex problems, following senior leadership roles in the three largest UK Departments of State.

Mike was most recently Chief Operating Officer at the Ministry of Defence, an organisation of 230,000 military and civilian colleagues. In Department for Work and Pensions he led as many as 25,000 colleagues supporting welfare deliver and reform. And in Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs was Director for Personal Tax Operations, leading 16,000 colleagues to deliver services to over 50 million customers whilst harnessing leading edge technology to radically change delivery channels.
