Oliver Wyman Launches Office In Brussels To Bolster Continued European Expansion and Appoints Steven Vermeylen As Head Of Belgium

With $2.5 BN in annual revenue, Oliver Wyman is present in more than 70 cities across 30 countries and employs more than 5,000 colleagues globally.  It is continuing to expand its footprint in Europe and its new office in Brussels will offer full-service international capabilities to its clients. Oliver Wyman is a business of Marsh McLennan, the leading professionals services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people.  Its global businesses include Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Mercer and Oliver Wyman. 

The office opening marks a new milestone in Oliver Wyman’s regional footprint, having been active in the Belgian market for over a decade and advising organizations in both public and private sector. With deeper local presence and additional local resources in Brussels, Oliver Wyman ambitions to serve clients across all industries and capabilities.  

The new Oliver Wyman office is co-located alongside Marsh McLennan’s office in Brussels and will be headed by Steven Vermeylen who has conducted numerous strategic and operational projects on a global basis across Europe, the US and the Middle East. Steven has over 25 years of experience in major global consulting firms in advising board members and leadership teams of international top-tier companies. To further strengthen the team, two accomplished Oliver Wyman Partners, Muriel Schtickzelle and Kevin Smeets, will also join the Belgian leadership team to support and drive future growth of the business.
