Financial Times: David Knipe On Carbon Capture And Storage

David Knipe, Energy Partner, spoke to the Financial Times on the future of energy, as well as the need for carbon capture and storage (CCS) at scale and higher carbon pricing. 

He said: “People need oil and gas for many decades to come, but the future viability of it in a net-zero context requires carbon capture and storage at scale.”

He added that for polluters to choose CCS instead of releasing emissions into the atmosphere, the price put on carbon by authorities would need to be at least $50 a tonne.
