CNN: Fabian Brandt On The British Car Industry During And After Covid-19

Back to work is not back to normal. The production lines in Europe have reopened: Ferrari and Fiat in Italy, Volkswagen in Germany and now in the UK, Aston Martin and Bentley.

In April, new car sales in the UK fell over 97,3 percent compared to April 2018. Even if the production goes back to normal, the future is uncertain.

Fabian Brandt, Oliver Wyman Partner and Global Practice Leader Automotive and Manufacturing Industries, discusses his perspective on the future of the British car industry during and after COVID-19 on CNN.

"Historically, deep recessions have taken about three years for industries to fully recover to pre-crises levels. This time, there is no evidence that it is going to be significantly faster than that", says Fabian.
