Bloomberg And City AM: UK Consumer Discount Fatigue Sets In Over Black Friday And Cyber Monday

Our research shows that UK consumers were set to spend less over Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year, showing a rise in discount fatigue as the shopping holiday continues to grow globally.

Bloomberg reported on our findings, highlighting our stats relating to online shopping. It said: “89% of U.K. consumers are planning to shop online on [Black Friday and Cyber Monday]—but only 11% plan to shop exclusively in stores.”

City AM, meanwhile, highlighted that “whether you love it or hate it, the sale seems to get more popular each year, although research indicates that growth may slump this year. Oliver Wyman found UK shoppers intend to spend £288 on average over the weekend, a drop of 12 per cent compared to last year.”
