New York…Oliver Wyman released its fourth annual social impact report this week highlighting the company’s contributions during the past year. The entire report can be viewed here.

“We are proud to devote substantial time and resources to the Oliver Wyman for Society program,” said Oliver Wyman Chief Executive Officer Scott McDonald. “Colleagues across the firm engage both in the office and in their communities every single day to make a difference.”

Highlights from this year’s Oliver Wyman Social Impact report include:

  • Oliver Wyman worked on 61 social impact projects across a variety of sectors such as education, health, social inclusion, and social finance. Consulting services were provided to organizations such as Junior Achievement (Chicago), Plastic Conscious (Hong Kong), Ashoka (Stockholm), and Habitat for Humanity (São Paulo).

  • Employees at the firm donated more money ($600,000+) in charity auctions than ever before and committed over 27,000 volunteer hours to local organizations they care about.

  • Oliver Wyman employees are offered the chance to go on a Nonprofit Fellowship anywhere in the world. In this report we feature two stories by Galen Bertozzi at Rocky Mountain Institute in Puerto Rico and Sherry Wu at TechnoServe in Ethiopia. All employees can apply to work at a nonprofit of their choice for up to six months once they have been with Oliver Wyman for one year.

The report also features two stories looking back at some of our earliest social impact work in Toronto and Singapore and checks in with the Amici Camping Charity and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra to see how they’re doing years into implementing their strategies.
