Bloomberg: Pedro Yip On How Alibaba Uses Data To Figure Out What Consumers Want

Oliver Wyman partner Pedro Yip was quoted in a Bloomberg article titled “Alibaba Used Shopper’s Data to Invent a Spicy Snickers Bar.” The article examined how China’s largest e-commerce platform, Alibaba, is using customer data to help brands figure out what consumers want.

“The Internet boom reached China later, yet Chinese consumers have embraced it at a faster pace than anyone else. This means that consciousness of digital privacy issues are only just now starting to grow,” said Yip.
