Oliver Wyman Announces Ana Carla Abrão as Brazil Market Leader

Abrão Joined the Company in May 2017 as Partner, Now Becomes Country’s Main Executive
São Paulo- Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting, today announced Ana Carla Abrão as Market Leader for Brazil. She will lead the firm’s strategy efforts in the country and work with counterparts across Marsh and Mercer, Oliver Wyman’s sister companies. The move demonstrates Oliver Wyman's confidence in Latin America's largest market and economy.
Abrão joined Oliver Wyman in May 2017 as a partner. She previously worked for the Central Bank of Brazil. She was also chief economist at Tendências Consultoria Integrada, and later became a statutory director at Banco Itaú Unibanco, where she stayed for more than six years before becoming the Minister for Finance of Góias State, working there for two years.
She has deep and recognized experience in financial services and in the public sector. At the Finance Department of Goiás State, Abrão led rigid adjustments to the fiscal budget, in addition to implementing, together with the state's fiscal administration, efficiency gains, with spending cuts and improvements in tax collection. Abrão also led important national discussions on public policies and tax legislation.

Abrão holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Brasília, a Master's degree in Economics from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, Administration and Accounting (FEA) at the University of São Paulo (USP).
