Viknesh (known as Vik) is a partner in our Private Capital Practice based in New York, where he plays a pivotal role in delivering strategic insights and transaction-related advice to investors and corporates.
He thrives on variety, working with clients across North America and Europe on a wide range of engagements. His primarily focuses on transaction-related advice throughout the investment lifecycle for large-cap and mid-market financial sponsors. He also collaborates with sponsor-owned PortCo management teams and Fortune 500 executives to enhance growth strategy, commercial effectiveness, and operational efficiency.

With expertise across multiple industries, Vik focuses on two core areas. He leads our white-collar business services and technology platform, covering subindustries such as legal, accounting and tax, professional services, human capital management, IT services, and cybersecurity. His career began by supporting investors on financial services and fintech/insurtech topics, and he remains passionate about high-growth businesses and innovation in these sectors.
He earned a first-class degree in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Warwick, and a master’s degree with distinction from the University of Cambridge.
Outside of work, Vik is a (tired) parent of an energetic toddler and infant twins. While exciting pursuits are currently on hold, he cherishes the joy and challenges that come with parenthood.
