They have all been recognized for their efforts in leading and promoting diversity and inclusion, both inside and outside the workplace. This is both Rupal and Martin’s second year short-listed.
Rupal Kantaria helps lead the Oliver Wyman Forum, which brings together a community of leaders across public and private sector in order to co-create solutions to shared, complex global challenges.
A prominent speaker and advocate on diversity and inclusion topics, Rupal is also a co-founder of MissionINCLUDE, a cross-company ecosystem driving innovative, tangible solutions to inclusion in the workplace, and Strategic Advisor to its Social Impact programme. She is also a leader within the House of Lords BAME ethnicity forum. Rupal was recognised as an EMpower 50 Ethnic Minority Future Leader in 2018.
My mission is to drive greater equality for all: in my own community, my workplace, and beyond to other organisations, groups, and society. Martin Pong is the Global Chair of Oliver Wyman’s LGBT+ network, GLOW, and coordinates over 30 local chapters across the world to raise awareness of LGBT+ experiences in the workplace.
Martin also works closely with EMPOWERED, Oliver Wyman’s ethnic and racial minority network, to raise awareness of issues that arise at the intersections of LGBT+ and BAME identities. Martin is an alumnus of the Stonewall Young Leaders programme and recently founded the East and Southeast Asian project which looks to improve representation of East and South East identities in business and the media.
As an LGBT+ person of colour, it’s important for me to amplify the voices and experiences of others like me who may not be as comfortable at work, or in situations where being openly LGBT+ isn’t safe. We must continue celebrating diverse talent, so the next generation can see what is possible and feel empowered to drive for greater equality.Martin Pong
Maya Mansour is the EMEA lead for our Racial and Ethnic Diversity network, EMPOWERED, where she works across the region to ensure the local relevance and implementation of our I&D strategy. She also works on bringing together the local chapters to create an open space for knowledge and experience sharing across the region.
Additionally, Maya works in the London office on various I&D initiatives, both in her work for clients and internally within Oliver Wyman, aiming to challenge stereotypes and eradicate people’s assumptions about labels such as race, gender or sexuality.

The EMpower Ethnic Minority Role Model Lists showcase business leaders who are breaking down barriers at work and working hard to smash the ceiling for ethnic minorities in the UK, Ireland, Europe, and people of colour in the United States and Canada. Representing multiple sectors and industries, those on EMpower Role Model Lists have not only achieved success in their own careers but used this to actively drive for more inclusive workplaces.
