Nick Studer Discusses Oliver Wyman’s Shadow Board

Companies are integrating "shadow boards" for further visibility into company culture. With their valuable insight, they are able to assist management teams in decisions that ensure they align with employee values and to remain in touch with employees at every level.

Nick Studer, CEO of Oliver Wyman, created a shadow board—called the “global leadership team council”. The council consists of younger employees, all below partner level, that share their trusted perspectives and weigh in on all of the same presentations given to senior management.

Nick insists that to lead as one, you "have to be willing to give up power."
