Forbes: As Telehealth Rises Due To Covid-19, Doctors’ Influence Wanes, New Survey Shows

As the Covid-19 pandemic drags on, complicated by the emergence of the omicron variant, the way Americans get healthcare may have changed forever. According to a 7,000-person survey, released this month from Oliver Wyman, telehealth is now a common feature of many Americans’ healthcare experience—and it’s working for most of them.

“What consumers expect from care is changing rapidly,” said Sam Glick, global leader of health and life sciences at Oliver Wyman. According to Glick, consumers want care that is more virtual, more comprehensive, and more convenient.
