The publication spoke to Matthieu De Clercq, Partner, Public Sector and Alvaro Biel, Engagement Manager – to discuss how equipped agriculture models were to meet the demands of the future: demographics, scarcity of natural resources, climate change, and food waste are all intensifying the hunger and food scarcity problem.
“Middle East countries are gradually moving towards implementing new technologies and understanding the benefits of moving into that space. A good example is the United Arab Emirates that has already incorporated several greenhouses and indoor farms in recent years”, according to Matthieu and Alvaro.
