Robert is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Energy and Natural Resources Practice in Australia. He specializes in strategy, organizational transformation, and sustainability work, with an industry focus on utilities, mining, and mining and engineering services. He has 27 years of global consulting experience. His previous experience has included leadership positions with other top-tier consulting firms for their Resources, Utilities and Mining Practices.
We are seeing a change in traditional utilities, and also rapid progress in a multitude of new alternatives such as hydrogen.
Robert holds MBA and MSE degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, has completed an Extended Degree Program at the Johnson School of Business, Cornell University (US) in 2001, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
I originally studied physics and mathematics before doing an engineering Master’s degree and then an MBA. Whilst I would never have predicted ending up in consulting, a background in numeracy, logic, and structured thinking has stood me in good stead.
