He has extensive experience in the UK, Europe (NATO), the Middle East, and the Five Eyes alliance — with expertise across defense, defense industries, intelligence, national security, and foreign policy. His work spans policy and strategy development, investment cases, operating model reform, and capability delivery.
Richard leads Defense and Security recruitment across India, the Middle East, and Africa (IMEA). He plays an active role in research and publications, with a focus on building our global geostrategy platform, partnering with international think-tanks.

Before joining Oliver Wyman, Richard was a principal at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He has a master’s degree in international relations and security studies from the University of St Andrews, following undergraduate studies in Arabic and Middle Eastern history at the University of Exeter and the University of Damascus.
