Deirdre is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Health and Life Sciences practice, based in Chicago.
She advises provider organizations on strategy, value-based care, clinical transformation, government programs, and new payment models. Her work focuses on helping health systems improve how care is delivered, financed, and organized around better outcomes.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Deirdre spent 10 years in academic healthcare at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the University of Michigan Health System. She later moved into consulting, holding senior roles at GE/Camden and ECG.

Deirdre has also worked with public-sector organizations on payment innovation. She served as an expert reviewer for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Bundled Payments for Care Improvement initiative and advised New York Medicaid on the development of chronic disease bundles. More recently, she worked with Onduo, a Verily company, on new payment models for diabetes care.
She holds a PhD from the University of Colorado, an MBA from Loyola University Chicago, and a BS in nursing from Southern Illinois University. She also holds a Certificate in Healthcare Executive Leadership from the Wharton School.
Outside of work, Deirdre enjoys traveling, snowboarding, watching Michigan football, and spending time with her husband and two children.
