David is a partner in our Finance, Risk and Restructuring Practice, based in New York. He specializes in transforming the businesses and risk and compliance programs of financial institutions through the application of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence.

His work focuses on helping organizations modernize operations, improve decision-making and accelerate enterprise-wide digital transformation.

David has led large-scale programs to design and implement new and reimagined products, processes and services, as well as machine learning and artificial intelligence systems that enable faster, smarter business decisions.

His expertise spans AI strategy, advanced analytics, regulatory technology, risk management and digital transformation. He helps financial institutions lay the foundation for companywide transformation by applying emerging technologies to solve complex business and regulatory challenges.

David has led the development of AI tools to systematically analyze a global systemically important bank’s controls inventory and identify opportunities for improvement. He also developed AI tools for regulatory change management at a global bank, including summarizing requirements, identifying similar regulatory requirements and mapping them to risk taxonomies. For a global financial services firm, he reimagined the transaction monitoring investigation process using artificial intelligence and developed a working prototype that demonstrated significant cost savings and improved investigative effectiveness.

His experience also includes leading the development of a product roadmap and go-to-market plan for a new asset and liability management (ALM) product, designing and implementing more than 20 CECL loss estimation models, and delivering a loan-level forecasting engine for CCAR, loss reserving, and business planning.

David graduated from the University of Cambridge with a PhD in astrophysics and from Fordham University, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in physics. His academic background complements his experience advising financial institutions on AI, advanced analytics, regulatory transformation, risk management, and digital innovation, helping organizations modernize business processes and strengthen compliance capabilities through technology.
