Senior leaders of the global financial system released a Multistakeholder Compact to better serve their customers and society as a whole. The Compact articulates the commitments of CEOs and senior management of leading financial institutions, policymakers, academics, and civil society representatives, to build a more socially valuable financial system.
It comes in response to a perceived lack of public confidence and trust in light of the financial crisis of 2008 and recent scandals. The Compact is the first public release of The Role of Financial Services in Society, a multi-year initiative spearheaded by the World Economic Forum and Oliver Wyman.
