Oliver Wyman Appoints Samir Misra As New York Metro Leader

New York…Oliver Wyman announced today that Samir Misra has been appointed the New York Metro Leader. Misra, a partner in the New York office, will be responsible for enhancing the firm’s engagement with the local New York business community.

Misra has been with Oliver Wyman since 1997. He is a Partner in the firm’s Financial Services practice where he advises major investments and securities companies on growth strategy, operating model design and efficiency initiatives. He also advises private equity firms on investment and portfolio company management efforts.
He received his MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He is a Board member of Laxmi Tara Public School, which provides affordable education in India. Misra lives with his family nearby in Short Hills, New Jersey.
The Metro Leader roles are new leadership roles for Oliver Wyman in North America. They will help drive active engagement in their communities and work closely with Oliver Wyman for Society, the firm’s internal program focused on creating a meaningful impact through social impact projects, community engagement, and nonprofit fellowships. The Metro Leaders will also engage with Oliver Wyman alumni based in their specific regions and lead client cultural events and sponsorship opportunities.
