Bloomberg: David Campbell on Medical Costs and Generic Drug Concerns

Oliver Wyman partner David Campbell, was quoted in a story titled, “Plans to Slash Medical Costs in America Run Into Generic Drug Concerns” in Bloomberg.
The article explores how US regulators pushing for the development of new generic drugs into the market will decrease prices, but may also open up issues with quality enforcement in countries such as India, where 40 percent of generic drugs taken by Americans are made.
According to David Campbell, bigger companies in India “have the resources to crack this problem, they just probably haven’t had the experience. As they continue to grow, the experience will come with it.”
