Oliver Wyman Data Cited In Bloomberg Gender Gap Article

Data from Oliver Wyman’s 2016 “Women in Financial Services” study was cited in an article titled, “Wall Street Gender Gap Narrows, 5,000 Miles South of Wall Street,” in Bloomberg.

This article explores how female bankers in Brazil, working for foreign companies, have had a high number of appointments to C-Suite positions this year so far. However, the gender gap does not seem to be closing among local banks. According to Oliver Wyman, Brazil’s financial companies have proportionally fewer female executive committee members, when compared to the global average. The global average for financial-services firms that have women on their executive boards is 16 percent, while Brazil’s is only 10 percent.
