Apply for one of our case workshops to experience life as a consultant on a project. Working in small groups, you will receive advice on how to structure your approach to the case as well as then how to conduct an interview as part of project and then present your conclusions. 

Date 1: Friday 17 September; 1pm - 3.30pm

Date 2: Friday 1 October; 2pm - 4.30pm

Date 3: Friday 15 October; 12pm - 2.30pm

Are you a current doctoral or post-doctoral researcher considering a career change?

If so, this session will be invaluable to learn hear some great advise and tips from Consultants who have made the transition from academia to consulting.

Are you interested in hearing more about our opportunities in our Data & Analytics team in Newcastle?  

Data and Analytics is a specialist business unit within Oliver Wyman, set up in 2017 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and has since expanded to Milan and Berlin. We are a dynamic, fast-growing team of quantitative analytics specialists. We work closely with our colleagues across Oliver Wyman to cover a global footprint: Working across multiple industries including but not limited to Financial Services, Insurance, Retail and Transportation. 

Our Analyst position offers excellent career and growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated professionals. Initial responsibilities will include managing the execution of individual project workstreams. This typically includes developing hypotheses; managing data collection, model creation and analyses; conducting primary and secondary research; creatively tackling information limitations; and surfacing insights. We would look for you to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline. Ideally Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science or, Engineering with strong quantitative applications.

Are you in your first year of undergraduate study or second year of a four-year course and interested in a career in Consultancy? Then apply now for our Insight Day. The deadline for applications is 25 February 2022.  

Held over two days in April 2022, our insight programme is designed so that attendees can experience a day in the life of a strategy consultant at first-hand.   Attendees will have a variety of sessions to discover who Oliver Wyman are and how to develop your personal brand.  You will work in teams alongside our consultants to tackle a simulation based on one of our recent projects.  You will be immersed in the full project experience: planning the approach, carrying out analysis, and presenting recommendations.   There will also be an opportunity to ask us about careers in strategy consulting and to gain an insight into Oliver Wyman’s business, as well as plenty of tips on cracking case study interviews.  This will be a social activity for all attendees with internal networking with our partners, consultants and entry-level recruitment team.
