Yasuaki (Yasu) is a principal in our Private Capital Practice. Based in Tokyo, he has more than 15 years of consulting experience, driving strategic initiatives for clients.
Yasu excels in supporting a diverse array of strategic projects, including strategy formulation, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy, market assessment, and business/technology due diligence. He is dedicated to creating value for domestic and international private equity funds, IT and tech companies, and consumer healthcare companies.
In the technology sector, Yasu covers a wide spectrum, from traditional IT and systems integration services to Software as a Service (SaaS) and digital AI solutions, focusing on solving management challenges from a technology-driven perspective.

Yasu holds a master of science and bachelor of engineering from Keio University, in addition to an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Outside of work, Yasu enjoys riding his motorcycle, running, reading books, exploring art museums, and traveling on weekends.
