Takahiro is a principal in our Actuarial Practice. Based in Tokyo, he has over 20 years’ experience in the life insurance industry in Japan.
Takahiro has a wealth of experience in pricing, valuation, and business development in the financial solutions space. Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, he worked for a global reinsurance organization, a Big Four accounting firm, and a life insurance company.
He has previously led successful initiatives, including Prophet modeling projects, United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Embedded Value reporting projects, as well as in-force analysis and repricing of variable and fixed annuities projects.

Takahiro holds a BSc in Mathematics from California State University, East Bay. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a Financial Risk Manager.
Outside of work, he loves going on skiing trips in the winter to immerse himself in nature, experience the natural hot springs, and enjoy the many local cuisines.
