Susan is a senior advisor in our Banking and Financial Services Practice. A highly respected figure in the financial services industry, she brings deep expertise in strategy, finance, and capital management.

With more than 30 years of experience, Susan has advised a wide range of stakeholders — including C-level executives, boards of directors, investors, policymakers, and regulators — on competitive positioning, performance outlooks, and shareholder value creation.

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Susan was a managing director at Credit Suisse, where she led global bank research and oversaw equity research coverage of US large-cap banks. Over her three-decade Wall Street career, she earned numerous accolades for her equity research and became widely recognized for her ability to assess the strategic positioning, financial strength, and market value of institutions across the financial services landscape, including banks, brokerages, advisory firms, private equity, and consumer finance companies.

Susan remains actively engaged as a trusted advisor to senior management teams, corporate boards, and industry groups. She currently serves as an independent director and audit committee member on the boards of BXINFRA and BXPE, both Blackstone affiliates. She previously served on the board of Intervest Bancshares Corporation, having been appointed by the US Department of the Treasury in 2012. She held that role and served on the audit committee until the bank’s sale to Bank of the Ozarks in 2015.

In addition to her corporate work, Susan has held numerous leadership roles on nonprofit boards, contributing her expertise across audit, finance, fundraising, and nominating committees.

Susan received a BS in economics, with honors, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she concentrated in accounting and finance. She also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

She serves as a trustee of the Masters School and is an active mentor and coach for students and professionals pursuing careers on Wall Street. She has also worked as a career coach for Harvard Business School MBA candidates.

In her free time, Susan enjoys investing, reading, and playing fantasy football. She grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, and lives in New York City.
