Based in Australia, Simon is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Financial Services Practice.

He has more than 20 years of experience in growth and transformation strategy across all sectors of the financial services industry in Australia and Asia.

He partners with executives and their teams at leading financial services companies, in particular general insurers and retail banks, to frame and execute critical choices around growth strategy, capability led transformation, and merger and acquisition (M&A) activity.

Economic, climate, and technology-driven change present leaders of financial services firms with both critical threats and profound opportunities. The choices they make today around target markets, propositions, and capabilities will determine the future of the industry

Simon has worked with most of Australia’s largest financial services firms on core strategic challenges including corporate strategy, M&A, and large-scale technology transformations. He is passionate about working with business leaders to create strategic value out of technology modernization. He has also contributed significantly to the continued evolution of the financial services regulators as an advisor on regulatory strategy, capability, and a contributor to regulatory dialogue.

In addition to his work in financial services, Simon is a keen conservationist and a board member of the Rainforest Conservation Foundation. In his spare time, Simon enjoys coaching and supporting his local rugby union club and is a keen home cook.
