Rodrigo is a principal in our Pricing, Sales and Marketing, and Financial Services Practices, based in Brazil.

He focuses on helping companies, both established and emerging, in crafting successful business strategies and building effective commercial models. Rodrigo also has extensive experience in the financial sector, covering a range of topics including risk management, operational model transformation, and financial crime compliance.

Rodrigo joined Oliver Wyman in 2010 as an intern after graduating in Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). From the early years, he has been instrumental in establishing and growing the financial services practice throughout Brazil and Latin America. His experience in this sector includes different types of institutions — large banks, payment institutions, fintechs, and infrastructure providers. This has enabled him to closely monitor and contribute to the significant transformation of the sector in the region in recent years, such as PIX, channel convergence, and non-financial services.

Many companies focus on developing leading products and services, but do not pay enough attention to sales strategy and processes. Knowing how to sell is as — or even more — important than what to sell for the success of the company

As the leader of the Pricing, Sales and Marketing Practice in Brazil, Rodrigo has supported companies from various sectors in improving their commercial strategies and capabilities to transform their results. The rise in competition and the reduction of entry barriers, particularly facilitated by digital technologies, have made the commercial theme increasingly relevant to leaders' agendas.

Outside of work, Rodrigo enjoys spending time with family and friends and continuing to improve his weekend barbecue skills.
