Robin Schmok is a Principal in Oliver Wyman's Zurich office and a member of the global Operations Practice. For over 15 years, he has focused on strategy development and optimization programs in manufacturing and procurement. Primarily, Robin assists clients with performance improvement, footprint and network design, cost optimization and strategic sourcing issues.

Before taking up consultancy, Robin managed various process and cost optimization projects in China and Europe. Therefore, the sustainable feasibility of developed strategies and programs is fundamental to him. Moreover, his eight years of industrial experience in mechanical and plant engineering form the basis for always managing projects from a practical perspective.
Robin acquired his operations toolkit during his studies as an industrial engineer. He complements those skills with a Master of Business Administration at the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne. In his spare time, Robin keeps physically fit with regular workouts and can often be found hiking and snowboarding in the mountains.
