Rickard is a principal based in our Stockholm office, working across the Financial Services and Energy and Natural Resources practices with a focus on finance, risk, and restructuring. He advises financial institutions, utilities, and oil and gas companies on risk management, risk frameworks, and methodologies, often in situations shaped by strategic change or regulatory complexity.
Rickard works closely with senior executives to help organizations navigate demanding risk environments and periods of market stress. He has supported large international institutions through complex transformations, strengthening governance and risk management across credit, trading, capital, and operational risk. His work helps clients improve how they operate day to day while building more resilient, future-ready risk functions.

Before joining Oliver Wyman in 2021, Rickard spent eight years working at large banks in both the Nordics and the US. This background means he brings both the perspective of a former practitioner and the analytical rigor and accuracy, delivering advice that is technically robust and practical to implement.
When not working, Rickard enjoys spending time with his daughter, staying active, and traveling. He is an avid follower of the NFL and appreciates friendly competition, whether through board games or esports, and can sometimes be found at live music concerts ranging from house to metal.
