Based in our New York office, Richard is a lead software engineer in Oliver Wyman’s Digital Practice. Boasting a rare background in design and development, he collaborates with consultants and partners to create prototypes and achieve breakthroughs in custom application development.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if the design wins awards or is coded optimally. If you don’t understand the user, it’s all for naught
Richard has more than 20 years of experience working in responsive design and front end application development and holds a master’s degree in Professional Studies from New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. While an advocate for accessible design and code optimization, he ultimately recognizes human insights — the practice of understanding the user with empathy.
Outside of his day-to-day client projects and working on the latest JavaScript frameworks, Richard is also an award-winning illustrator. He also enjoys sharing knowledge within the Digital Practice as a long-running adjunct college instructor of interactive design.
