Ramy, a partner in our Toronto Office, is part of our Finance and Risk Practice. He also leads our operational risk work for the Americas.
He has extensive experience advising leading financial services institutions across North America on strategic topics related to growth, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Ramy specializes in risk management, with a focus on large-scale transformation programs. His work spans core risk capabilities — such as governance, identification and assessment, metrics, reporting, and issue management — as well as operational and non-financial risk programs, including RCSA, scenario analysis, event management, third-party risk, cyber/technology risk, change risk, and model risk. He also brings deep expertise in risk measurement across financial and non-financial types, stress testing (including CCAR/DFAST), and capital frameworks (including ICAAP, regulatory capital, and economic capital).
Operational risks pose major challenges across industries, especially financial services. Organizations need strong frameworks, policies, and governance to manage them. My team helps navigate this complexity and provide thought leadership to manage risks effectively
Ramy has published flagship papers on risk management and is a regular industry speaker. Ramy holds a PhD and MASc and from the University of Toronto and a BEng Degree with high distinction from the American University of Beirut.
Outside of work, Ramy enjoys skiing in the winter, playing tennis during the summer, and traveling throughout the year.
