Raj is a principal in our Banking and Financial Services Practice.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, he brings over 13 years of experience working with leading regional and local banks, payment companies, and insurers across Southeast Asia. His work focuses on developing strategy, driving transformation initiatives, and building new businesses in rapidly evolving financial markets.
Raj has led initiatives including operating model design and cost optimization for global and regional banks, comprehensive branch network transformations, and digital factory setups for financial institutions in Malaysia and Vietnam. He has also played a key role in launching greenfield banks in India and building new ventures in emerging markets such as Myanmar.
I enjoy helping clients overcome complex challenges by crafting their strategies and making the crucial transformational shifts. My goal is to drive innovation and build sustainable models that will position financial institutions in Malaysia and the region for long-term success
Raj holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing badminton and traveling.
