Based in our Zurich office, Nicolas is an engagement manager and a member of our Finance and Risk Practice.
He specializes in risk management for banks and financial service providers, in particular, credit risk modeling and the application of analytical methods and artificial intelligence (AI) in risk management.
Increasing regulation by supervisory authorities is forcing banks to improve their risk assessment measures. Nicolas supports his European clients in accurately modeling these risks in line with regulatory requirements. Additionally, increasing competition from agile start-ups and fintech companies is pushing established banks to find new ways to remain competitive in the future.
With our work, we help banks to more accurately and reliably assess their risk, thereby improving the stability of the entire financial system
Nicolas holds a PhD and a habilitation in theoretical physics from the University of Zurich. Before joining Oliver Wyman, he worked in fundamental research at several leading universities and institutes worldwide. He is a private lecturer at the University of Zurich and author of numerous scientific publications.
Outside of work, Nicolas enjoys spending his free time in the Zurich region and experiencing nature with his family.
