Michael is a partner in the Financial Services Practice and leads the Corporate Transaction Banking Practice and digital asset platform across Asia. He is based in our Hong Kong office.
He has extensive consulting experience across Asia, focusing primarily on global transaction banking, corporate banking digitization, and payments innovation. Michael has worked with both traditional banks and fintech start-ups on topics such as digital acceleration, market entry strategy, and target operating model design. He is one of the authors of our recent reports discussing institutional DeFi and tokenised money settlement.
The world is full of twists and turns, and our clients are facing increasingly complex issues – dealing with the pandemic, coping with digital disruption, transitioning to low carbon economy, just to name a few. I feel incredibly proud and privileged to be able to work with some of the largest banks in the world to respond to these challenges as their sparring partner – this is what gets me out of bed every morning!
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Global Business and Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
