Max is Partner with Oliver Wyman in Munich and part of the Restructuring Practice. He brings in a broad professional experience in turnaround management consulting. During his 12 years’ experience in providing restructuring services to his clients, his main focus was on the automotive supplier industry. As the automotive industry is undergoing disruptive change, challenges in terms of reshaping business models, pressure on profitability, (re-)financing and liquidity requirements are among the most important tasks for which companies seek advice from Max.
His services for clients include ready-to-implement restructuring concepts, performance improvement programs, business and liquidity planning, independent business reviews for lenders and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as well as options and recovery analyses for major stakeholders. Max has also extensive experience in (re)financing and balance-sheet restructuring cases. In addition, he advises companies, insolvency administrators, and lenders in “in-court” restructuring proceedings.
As a lawyer with a strong focus on insolvency law, I am frequently acting as the interface between financial and legal matters.
Max holds a law degree from Ludwig-Maximilian-University Munich and a PhD from the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel.
